Falafel made with cauliflower instead of chickpeas, does it work you ask? Yes, it really does, and they are sensational and hold together very well. And they are simple to make, so if you have cauliflower at home, do not doubt to make them.
4-5 pcs
2,5 dl raw cauliflower "rice"
1 dl almond flour
1 tbsp coconut flour
2 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tsp ground cumin
0.5-3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic powder
one pinch of chili
1 egg
Process the cauliflower in a food processor to rice consistency. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well blended. Heat a skillet with butter and fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
Blomkålsbiffar/-falafel
4-5 st
2,5 dl rå blomkåls"ris"
1 dl mandelmjöl
1 msk kokosmjöl
2 msk färsk persilja
1 tsk mald spiskummin
0,5-3/4 tsk salt
1/8 tsk vitlökspulver
en nypa chili
1 ägg
Mixa blomkålen i en matberedare till riskonsistens. Tillsätt resten av ingredienserna och rör om tills allt är blandat. Hetta upp en stekpanna med smör och stek biffarna på båda sidor tills de är gyllenbruna.
